The Cult

The Cult is a game designed for a group of 4 to 10 players where each participant is discreetly assigned a role from one of two opposing teams: the village or the cult.

The game unfolds over 5 rounds, with a new leader for each round choosing players to embark on quests. Players on a quest hold the fate of its success, as they must collectively decide whether it will succeed or fail. The village can only triumph if they successfully complete a minimum of 3 quests.

Village members are obligated to vote for quest success, whereas cult members have the freedom to choose. Votes are cast in secret, keeping everyone unaware of individual decisions until after the quest outcome is revealed.

Although not mandatory, including at least one seer role is advisable. The seer is aligned with the village and possesses the knowledge of which players are part of the cult. Through strategic use of this information, the seer can aid in accomplishing quests. However, in a suspenseful twist, at the game's closure, the cult has an opportunity to unmask the seer. If they correctly identify the seer's role, victory belongs to the cult.
